2012 RMHC Augusta Plane Pull

The Plane Pull is the only event of its kind in Augusta and surrounding area. Imagine a tug of war between a Fed Ex Boeing 727 and 20 people and you’ve got it! That’s what we do every spring at Augusta Regional Airport.

2012 Share a Night

$20 can do so much! For every $20 donation, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta will light a light on our House. On December 8 we will flip the switch that will light our House for the holidays. Sponsor a family for one night for $20, a week for $140 or a month for $600. Your gift means so much to so many.

Charity Classic Golf Tournament

It’s Tee Time! 25 Teams Joined us for our Annual Ronald McDonald Charity Golf Class on Monday September 12, 2011 at West Lake Country Club. This premiere tournament boasted great gifts, team prizes, fabulous food, an award-winning golf course and best of all, it all benefitted a great cause!

West Lake Golf and Country Club was the host for the Red Shoe Golf Ball again this year! Guests enjoyed mini putt courtesy of Mark Clark with a Diamond Pendant from Windsor Jewelers to our mini putt tournament winner! The Red Shoe Society put together an instant wine cellar as part of our Silent Auction. The popular “Heads n Tails” game winner went home with a flat screen TV! The BTU’s entertained everyone well into the night and our own Jay Jefferies took a turn on the drums after he and Liz Hill finished their duties as emcees for the evening. Where else can you go home knowing a real live chef will be preparing your perfect dinner party?!

2012 Truck and Tractor Pull

It’s truck and tractor pulling time in Wilkes County, Georgia! Superstock Trucks, Diesel/Gas Street Trucks, Hot Farm and Modern Farm Tractors and 2 and 4 wheel drive trucks are all welcome on Thomson Highway, Washington GA Saturday October 8. 6:00 pm until???? Gates open at 10:00 am with registration for all classes 4:30-5:30 pm. $15 hitch fee per hook. For more information visit thewttp.com.

2011 RMHC Augusta Plane Pull

The 3^rd Annual Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta Plane Pull flew into town Saturday April 30 at 9:00 am!

Hundreds joined us at Augusta Regional Airport for the fun! There was plenty to do off of the runway too and many brought the whole family to enjoy a day at the airport. There were be children’s activities, Chef Redd’s barbecue, and other surprises throughout the day including a visit from Ronald McDonald himself!

Comcast and Georgia Health Sciences Children’s Medical Center invite everyone to “Pull for the House” – Teams of 20 compete to pull a Boeing 727 plane 12 feet in the shortest amount of time. The winning team “the Munchkins” received a trophy and bragging rights until next year!

The Tacky Docs took home the Best Dressed Award and Hope on a Rope won the Biggest Heart award by raising an addition $940 above their registration fee!
